Solar panels on your roof — funded, fitted and maintained for you
The Utilitrack-funded model turns your roof into a source of cheaper, cleaner power without touching your capital budget. You pay a reduced rate for what you generate; we take care of the rest.
No capital outlay. A reduced rate. A greener business.
Under the funded model, Utilitrack funds the panels, installation and ongoing maintenance. Rather than finding the capital yourself, you agree a longer-term contract and simply pay a reduced rate for the electricity generated on your own roof.
That reduced rate is typically 40–75% below your current unit rate — cutting the cost of that portion of your energy by roughly a third, with none of the upfront cost or maintenance headache of owning a system outright.
- Zero capital outlay — the panels, install and maintenance are funded.
- A lower, more predictable rate for the power you generate on site.
- Maintenance handled — nothing for you to manage or repair.
- Real progress on carbon — visible movement toward your 2030 targets.
Own it outright, spread the cost, or pay nothing up front
However you choose to fund your solar, the panels end up working for you — and, in every case, they become yours.
Buy it outright
Have the capital available? Purchase the system and you own it from day one — taking the full saving straight away, with the fastest possible payback.
Hire purchase
Prefer to spread the cost? Fund it over an agreed term. The panels are yours once the finance is settled — then it’s clean, low-cost power for the rest of the system’s 25+ year life.
No capital outlay
We fund, fit and maintain the whole system. You simply pay a reduced rate for the power you generate; at the end of the contract (typically three to five years) the panels are yours and the roof energy is effectively free.
A typical illustration
Every site is different — the figures below are typical and illustrative, to show the shape of the saving rather than a guaranteed quote.
| Per kWh generated on site | Typical grid | Solar |
|---|---|---|
| Indicative unit rate | full market rate | a lower, fixed rate |
| Capital you provide | — | £0 |
| Who maintains the system | — | Utilitrack |
| Typical saving on that energy | — | typically 40–75% |
Illustrative, typical figures only. Actual rates and savings depend on your roof, consumption profile and contract length.
Big roofs, high daytime demand
Solar works best where there’s plenty of roof space and consumption that peaks during daylight hours — so most of what you generate is used on site.
- Hotels, hospitality and golf clubs
- Large offices with heavy daytime load
- Manufacturers and industrial-estate units
- Any business with a sizeable roof and a 2030 commitment
Prefer to own it outright?
If buying the system suits your balance sheet better, we can arrange a purchase or hire-purchase (HP) route instead — and help you weigh the two so you choose with your eyes open.
